Children of Rural Africa

Working Volunteer Vacations
Working Volunteer Vacations are designed for mostly independent travellers who on their visit to Nigeria; a country that is unacustomed to tourism would seize the opportunity to build educational facilities in rural areas under the care, safety and supervision of experienced guides. It is also a chance to experience the heart of Africa; Nigeria in its rural grandeur. A Trip to Nigeria is not for the faint-of-heart. Nigeria does not have the "natural wonders" or high mountain challenges of Kenya or Tanzania or other Eastern African countries. There are not vast plains full of wildebeasts and zebra. What Nigeria does have is some of the most friendly and hospitable people in the world living mostly in poverty. Nigeria is challenging, but it is also safe and rewarding. The "attractions" are the people of Nigeria and the new friends you will make as you work hand-in-hand to build one small part of a better future for Nigeria's rural children and communities.

A Visual Tour
It is impossible to capture all of the finer details of Nigeria in pictures. The food, the smells, the hustle and bustle of the cities, and the remarkably hospitable people. The photos below can give you some idea of the various portions of your journey but it must be lived to be truly enjoyed.
